JAKARTA, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh concluded today a two-day official visit to Indonesia by meeting with the Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto.

Shtayyeh thanked Indonesia for its continued support for Palestine, stressing the importance of this visit, which came to promote the prospects for cooperation in all political, economic, and trade-related fields.

He further praised Indonesia’s firm positions in support of the Palestinian cause as well as Jerusalem and its holy sites, particularly Al-Aqsa Mosque.

For his part, the Indonesian Minister of Defense affirmed that his country was and will continue to stand beside the Palestinian people until they obtain their legitimate rights of ending the occupation and establishing their Palestinian state.

He assured that Indonesia will continue to provide all forms of substantive and technical support, capacity-building, scholarships, and humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people.
