Presidency: Central Council decisions on ties with Israel put on the table

RAMALLAH, The Presidency today stated that the Palestinian Central Council’s decisions on ties with Israel would be put back on the table.

Presidential Spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh said that decisions of the PLO’s Central Council, the second-highest Palestinian decision-making body, recommending revoking recognition of Israel would be placed back on the table within the next few hours, especially that the situation is at a critical juncture due to the Israeli serious escalation.

Commenting on the killing of five Palestinians within the last 24 hours in the West Bank, Abu Rudeineh warned of the danger and sensitivity of the recent situation in the West Bank, considering it susceptible to explosion and held the Israeli occupation responsible for destabilizing it.

“Israel’s provocative policy –in reference to the killings—is escalating the situation, making it critical and rapidly deteriorating unless the international community intervenes urgently in order to pressurize the Israeli government to halt its aggression.”

Revealing that Israel has killed 45 Palestinians since the start of 2022, he called on the world, “not to be satisfied with the policy of denunciation, because things will reach the stage of explosion, the results of which cannot be predicted.”
