President Abbas arrives in Ankara on an official visit

ANKARA, President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on an official visit at the invitation of the Turkish president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

President Abbas was received by a number of Turkish officials, Arab ambassadors accredited to Turkey, and the Palestinian embassy staff in Ankara.

The president is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Riyad Al-Malki, Head of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Majid Faraj, advisor to the President for religious affairs and Islamic relations, Mahmoud al-Habbash, Diplomatic Advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas, Majdi Al-Khaldi, and Ambassador of Palestine to Turkey, Faed Mustafa.
