DOHA, President Mahmoud Abbas arrived today in Doha, the capital of Qatar, at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to participate in the opening day of the FIFA Arab Cup tomorrow.

The president is scheduled during his visit to meet with the Emir of Qatar and several heads of delegations participating in the opening day.

The president is accompanied by the head of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA), Jibril Rjoub, chairman of the General Authority for Civil Affairs and member of Fatah Central Committee, Hussein Al-Sheikh, head of intelligence, Majed Faraj, Diplomatic Advisor to President Mahmoud Abbas, Majdi Al-Khaldi, president’s advisor, Mustafa Abu al-Rob, and Palestine’s ambassador to Qatar, Moneer Ghannam.
