President Mahmoud Abbas made today a phone call with King Abdullah II of Jordan, during which he wished security and prosperity for the brotherly nation.
During the call, the President said “the State of Palestine and its people are keen on the security and stability of Jordan”, and that “the security and prosperity of Jordan is part of the security and prosperity of Palestine”.
President Abbas commended Jordanian King Abdullah II’s unswerving support of the Palestinian cause, appreciating the Jordanian custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy places in Jerusalem.
The President wished continued security and stability in Jordan under the leadership of King Abdullah II.
