President Abbas calls on Palestinian factions to return to serious dialogue to end the division

President Mahmoud Abbas headed today evening the eighth session of Fatah Revolutionary Council in Ramallah, during which he called on Fatah and Hamas, the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO’s) factions, and the Islamic Jihad movement to immediately return to serious dialogue to end the division and build national partnerships at all levels to face the challenges and dangers facing the Palestinian people and their national cause.

President Abbas stressed that the Palestinian people will not tire nor relent in their great struggle until the end of the occupation of the land of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

“We say it aloud for the Israeli occupation to get off our chests, land, and people,” said President Abbas.

He added that contacts are continuing with Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, and the rest of the Arab countries as well as with the international community for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, which he stressed requires a complete and comprehensive cessation of Israeli aggression throughout the entire occupied Palestinian territories.

President Abbas paid tribute to the Palestinian people throughout the West Bank and Jerusalem for confronting the occupation with their bare chests, praising Palestinians in Beita town in Nablus, which has become an icon of popular resistance.
