RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas has commended the students and faculty members of the Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie) in Tulkarm for patenting a multifunction ventilator that outperforms many similar global devices.

“Our Palestinian people are rich in minds, these minds that will make us proud everywhere in the world, these minds that will build the State Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital,” said the President in a brief speech over the phone during the ceremony announcing this achievement, which was held at the Martyr Yasser Arafat Theater at the Palestine Technical University (Kadoorie).

Kadoorie said the PTUK Ventilator is distinctive in terms of manufacturing and production, and is considered a qualitative achievement in which Palestine has outperformed many countries in the world.

The device has undergone clinical trials and examinations according to the medical and engineering technical standards. It has been approved and accredited by Palestinian and international authorities, mainly the Palestine Standards Institution, as well as by anesthesia specialists and consultants in public and private hospitals.
