RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas congratulated today evening his Polish counterpart, Andrzej Duda, on the 103rd anniversary of Poland regaining independence.

In his telegram to the Polish president, President Abbas expressed his pride in the historical relations and bonds of mutual respect and friendship between Palestine and Poland, and his keenness to advance them to the optimum level.

He noted that both the Palestinian and Polish people have a long history of struggle, during which both nations made immense sacrifices, where the courageous struggle of the Polish people culminated in freedom and independence, and the Palestinian people are still struggling to recover their land and build their independent state on it, and to live in freedom and dignity under a just and comprehensive peace.

He praised Poland’s positions in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause at all forums, wishing the president and people of Poland greater progress and prosperity.
