RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas received today a phone call from the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and discussed with him the latest developments in Palestine, including the efforts for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.

The President briefed the Emir of Qatar of the talks that the Palestinian leadership has made with the United Nations and the United States administration for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, in the aftermath of the recent Israeli aggression that destroyed dozens of houses and buildings in the coastal enclave.

Emir of Qatar affirmed his country’s support of the Palestinian people and their just cause in the face of the brutal Israeli aggression.

He pointed out that Qatar was making efforts with the relevant international parties to stabilize the ceasefire in Gaza and achieve Palestinian national unity.
