RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas received today the Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence, Minister Abbas Kamel, at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah, where they discussed the latest developments concerning the ceasefire in Gaza.

The two parties discussed stabilizing the ceasefire in Gaza, the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, the intra-Palestinian reconciliation file and the political process which is the key to stability and peace in the region.

President Abbas expressed his appreciation for the role and efforts of Egypt and its support of the Palestinian people and their just cause.

The meeting was attended by Minister Hussein Al-Sheikh, the chairman of the General Authority for Civil Affairs, and the head of the General Intelligence Service, Major General Majed Faraj.
