President asks Palestine’s Representative to UN to mobilize action against Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa

RAMALLAH, President Mahmoud Abbas has asked the Permanent Representative of the State of Palestine to the United Nations, Ambassador Riyad Mansour, to start immediate action at the United Nations to confront the Israeli aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

The move will be coordinated with brotherly and friendly nations, said the President, at the forefront of whom is the brotherly Jordanian delegation to the United Nations.

This comes against the backdrop of a landmark ruling by an Israeli court in favour of Jews performing silent prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex, which has stoked Palestinian fears of Israeli encroachment over Jerusalem’s holiest site.

The President urged the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in this regard, especially the UN Security Council, to stop this aggression.
