RAMALLAH, Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh Sunday met with New Zealand’s Special Representative to Palestine, Greg Lewis, and briefed him with the latest updates and political developments, in addition to enhancing joint cooperation.

The Prime Minister stressed that Israel is working to systematically destroy the two-state solution, through its measures of seizing more land in favor of settlement expansion, the continuation of daily incursions into Palestinian areas, killings, arrests, house demolitions and property destruction, and the continued attacks of settlers under the protection of the occupation forces.

Shtayyeh stressed that what the occupation forces have recently done against a number of Palestinian civil society organizations and human rights institutions is illegal measures, stressing that the leadership and the government stand by these institutions in performing their tasks guaranteed by Palestinian and international law.

The Prime Minister also discussed with the representative of New Zealand enhancing joint cooperation, especially the education sector, praising his country’s support for the health sector and the UNRWA.
