A'dakhiliyah: The Sultan Qaboos Air Academy at the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) today showcased a practical demonstration of a tactical exercise known as 'Shams 35'. This exercise is an integral component of the Officer Cadets Course, University Officers Course, and the Limited Service Course.
According to Oman News Agency, the practical demonstration occurred in the training area located in the Governorate of A'Dakhiliyah. The event was held under the patronage of Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman. Attendees, including the chief guest, received a briefing on the various stages of the exercise and its training objectives before the demonstration commenced as per the predetermined plan.
Air Vice Marshal Al Ghafri praised the standards and morale evident throughout the exercise and its associated activities. He expressed gratitude for the efforts that contributed to the success of the exercise and encouraged continued dedication to serving the nation under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander.
Tactical exercise Shams 35 is designed to equip officer cadets with necessary military sciences, preparing them for missions post-graduation. It aims to enhance both individual and group leadership and tactical skills.
The event saw the presence of senior officers, officers, and personnel from the Royal Air Force of Oman.
