Doha: The Royal Guard of Oman (RGO) band presented a musical show last night as part of its participation in the opening of the first edition of the Doha International Music and Marching Festival 2025. The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Sheikh Khalifa Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Interior of Qatar, and attended by Sayyid Ammar bin Abdullah Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar. According to Oman News Agency, the RGO's participation in the festival followed an invitation by the Qatari Ministry of Interior and offered an opportunity to demonstrate the RGO band's status among countries of the world. The festival aims to promote global cultural exchange and showcase military musical legacies. The RGO band will continue to present its musical performances at the festival, which runs until 20 December 2025. It will also take part in events of a national parade marking the State of Qatar's National Day.
