Fourteen persons have been referred to the judiciary over the death of Palestinian citizen Nizar Banat, according to the spokesman for the security forces, Col. Talal Dweikat.
He told WAFA that the military prosecution was proceeding with its investigation into Banat’s death as per the Palestinian law, and that the 14 members of the patrol involved in Banat’s arrest in Hebron on June 24 were referred to the judiciary, pending completing the investigation procedures.
He added that the prosecution heard the testimonies of Banat’s family, who offered all the details they had with regard to the case.
He stressed that the investigation will continue until the indictments and fair trials of all persons indicted of being involved in the case in line with internationally established principles and guidelines.
