Settlers attack village, block streets in Jordan Valley

TUBAS, Hardcore Israeli settlers today attacked the village of Farsiya, in the Jordan Valley region in northeast of the West Bank, and blocked several roads in the area, according to local sources.

Aref Daraghmeh, a local rights activist, told WAFA that a group of Israeli settlers attacked the village for the second day and verbally threatened Palestinian farmers and workers there.

The settlers also blocked roads in the area, including the entrance to the neighboring village of Ein el-Beida, denying access of Palestinians into and out of the village.

Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.

There are over 650,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
