Settlers install caravans on Palestinian land south of Nablus

NABLUS, Colonial Israeli settlers installed caravans today on a Palestinian-owned land near the town of Aqraba in the occupied West Bank province of Nablus, according to local sources.

Ghassan Daghlas, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that a group of nearly 50 Israeli settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Itamar broke into the land and embarked on installing caravans in a prelude to take it over.

There are over 650,000 colonial Israeli settlers living in Jewish-only settlements across the West Bank in violation of international law, particularly the Fourth Geneva Convention which expressly bans the relocation of the occupying nation’s civilian population to the land of the occupied.

The settlement of Itamar is particularly notorious for its hardcore Jewish settler community who in the past committed several attacks against Palestinians and their property, including arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.
