Several Palestinian-owned structures in Jordan Valley under Israeli threat of demolition – official

TUBAS, Israeli occupation authorities today delivered notices ordering the demolition of several residential and agricultural structures in the Ras al-Ahmar community to the southeast of Tubas, in the northern Jordan Valley, according to a local official.

Head of Ras al-Ahmar village council, Abdallah Bisharat, said the orders affect three residential tents and a number of animal sheds over 400 square meters in area.

Israeli forces earlier today stormed the Ras al-Ahmar area and the eastern part of Atoof village and photographed most of the structures there raising concern of imminent demolition of these structures.

The Jordan Valley’s Palestinian community is subjected to daily harassment from Israeli soldiers and settlers in an effort to force them to leave the area, which Israel intends to annex.
