RAMALLAH, Prime Minister Mohammed Shtayyeh said tonight that the Palestinian government shall proceed under the guidance of president Mahmoud Abbas to approve all legislation and laws that offer justice to women and grant them their rights.
“The Palestinian woman struggles to obtain her rights, which we encourage and support because she is represented in the Palestinian institutions, the government, the Legislative Council, and the National and Central Council, he said, adding that the Palestinian woman is the mother of Martyrs and prisoners.
He said this during a ceremony held in Ramallah to honor a number of Palestinian pioneers and innovators in several fields, organized by the European Union to celebrate International Women’s Day, in the presence of the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh Laila Ghannam, the European Union representative to Palestine Sven Kuehn von, and a number of ministers and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Palestine.
