Six minors among 26 Palestinians detained by the Israeli army in the occupied territories

RAMALLAH, Israeli occupation forces today and last night detained 26 Palestinians, including six minors, from various parts of the occupied territories, according to local and Palestinian security sources.

They said that Israeli forces rounded up 10 Palestinians, including five minors aged 15 to 17, from Azzun town, east of the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya. One of the minors is injured.

Elsewhere in the northern West Bank, heavily-armed Israeli soldiers barged their way into Silat al-Harithiya village, northwest of Jenin, and rounded up another after ransacking his family house.

They also detained another from Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarm, and searched his family house, ransacking it.

In the Nablus district, an Israeli military vehicle intercepted a Palestinian-registered vehicle south of the Nablus city and detained three of the passengers. The detainees were identified as residents of Sarra, a town to the southwest of Nablus city.

Meanwhile, four others were detained in multiple raids across Ramallah and al-Bireh district.

Occupation soldiers forcibly entered a house and detained one from Beitunia city, west of Ramallah.

They conducted a similar raid in the Ramallah city neighborhood of al-Masayef and al-Bireh city neighborhood of Sateh Marhaba resulting in the detention of two others, including an undergraduate student enrolled in Birzeit University.

The sources confirmed a raid in Deir Abu Mashaal village, northwest of Ramallah city, resulting in the detention of another.

In the Jordan Valley, soldiers detained a Palestinian in Jericho city.

In the Jerusalem district, sources said Israeli forces detained Palestinian-French attorney Salah Hammouri from his home in Kufr Aqab, a neighborhood north of occupied East Jerusalem falling behind the apartheid wall. Hammouri was previously detained and served time in prison for resisting the Israeli occupation.

In the southern West Bank, military vehicles stormed al-Khader town, near Bethlehem, where soldiers detained two Palestinians, including a 16-year-old minor.

In Hebron, soldiers raided a house in the southern part of the city and detained another.

They also detained two others; one from Beit Ummar town, north of the Hebron city, and the other from Dura city, south of Hebron, and ransacked several houses.
