TEL AVIV, An Israeli soldier today opened fire and killed another Israeli citizen after suspecting he was a Palestinian, according to Israeli media.

The soldier approached an Israeli civilian who was acting strangely at a bus station in the town of Ranana, near Tel Aviv, and opened fire at him killing him instantly.

The Israeli media quoted the police spokesman saying that “the incident was criminal and the soldier opened fire believing the person was a Palestinian.”

Observers said these incidents show how easy it is for soldiers to shoot and kill Palestinians just for suspecting they are going to do something because the instructions from the political and security circles in Israel allow the shoot-and-kill first and ask questions later.
