SpaceX Starts Building Starship Launch Complex at Florida’s Cape Canaveral

Cape canaveral: US entrepreneur Elon Musk's private aerospace company SpaceX today said that it had begun building a space launch complex for the US Space Force at Cape Canaveral in Florida. "We've received approval to develop Space Launch Complex-37 for Starship operations at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Construction has started," the company said on X???.

According to Oman News Agency, Space Launch Complex 37 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station was originally built for the Apollo program, with two pads - 37A, never used, and 37B, which hosted Saturn 1 and Saturn 1B launches. From 2002 to 2024, it supported Delta IV and Delta IV Heavy missions. For over 20 years, it was home to Boeing's Delta rockets until the blockhouse was demolished in June 2025 after United Launch Alliance's lease ended and control returned to the US Air Force.
