Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, praised the decision to reinstate diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Qatar, according to the principles of the UN Charter and the provisions of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961.

The Speaker underlined the significance of the step which emanates from both countries’ keenness to boost bilateral relations to serve common interests, promote the GCC march and enhance the Gulf integration and unity. He pointed out solidity of ties binding the GCC countries and common keenness on unity among the GCC member states.
