Al rustaq: Acting in cooperation with Al Rustaq Hospital, a specialized medical team from Khoula Hospital recently performed a successful arterial bypass surgery on the lower limb of a patient suffering from severe circulatory insufficiency. The operation saved the limb, avoiding its amputation.

According to Oman News Agency, Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Aufi, Consultant Vascular and Accident Surgeon at Khoula Hospital, said that the success of the operation reflects the competence of Al Rustaq Hospital's physicians and assisting team. Al Aufi added that such initiatives contribute to improving the quality of life of patients and minimizing the serious complications that emanate from peripheral vascular diseases.

The operation was a step forward in the ongoing integration and cooperation among health institutions in the Sultanate of Oman. It reflected the significance of decentralization in providing specialized medical services in different governorates of Oman. The decentralization of specialized medical services affirms the commitment of Oman's health system to provide the best standards of medical care for patients in their places of residence.
