Muscat: The State Council Office today reviewed the programme of its standing committees that prepare to discuss proposals and studies set for debate during the second regular session of the Council's Eighth Term. The panels' programme review took place during the Office's 6th meeting of the first regular session of the Eighth Term, held under the auspices of Salim Musallam Qatan, Deputy Chairman of the State Council. During the session, the bureau also discussed the Council of Ministers' reply to its study titled "Efficiency of Public Spending in the Sultanate of Oman", as well as reports filed by the Council members about their visits to other countries. The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Council. According to Oman News Agency, the review of the standing committees' programme is a critical step as the Council prepares for its upcoming debates. The focus on proposals and studies signifies the Council's commitment to informed decision-making and effective governance.
