Muscat: The State Council's expanded economic and financial committee today discussed the draft version of State Budget 2025 forwarded by the Council of Ministers. The discussion took place during the 2nd regular session of the State Council's 8th Term. Chaired by Dr. Dhafer Awad Al Shanfari, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Committee, and attended by heads of the State Council's standing committees, the session also reviewed the Shura Council's report on State Budget 2025 draft. According to Oman News Agency, the meeting focused on analyzing the proposed allocations and financial strategies outlined in the budget draft. The committee emphasized the importance of aligning the budget with the country's economic goals and ensuring fiscal sustainability. The discussions are part of the preparatory processes leading up to the final approval of the State Budget 2025, which will guide the financial and economic policies for the coming year.
