Community tour guide Esperanza Qumsieh, representing the Palestinian Tourist Guides Syndicate, participated in the forum organized by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature in Jordan under the slogan “Towards enhancing environmental protection and management of protected areas in the region.”

The forum was launched in its seventh edition with the participation of many countries from the region, including Yemen, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, and Palestine.

The forum aims to enhance understanding of the management of protected areas and their needs, in addition to identifying various models of protected area management.

During the forum, an environment conducive to learning and exchanging experiences with local communities and managing protected areas in the Middle East and North Africa was created.
