Three Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers in Nablus focus of the dailies

RAMALLAH, News about the three Palestinians who were assassinated yesterday afternoon by Israeli soldiers in the occupied West Bank city of Nablus hit the front pages of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida, al-Ayyam, and al-Quds said Israeli soldiers opened fire at a car in Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank, killing three Palestinians who were identified as Ashraf Mubaslat, Adham Mabrouka, and Mohammad Dakhil. They printed pictures of the funeral of the three.

The dailies said clashes broke out in several areas in the occupied West Bank between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian youths in protest of the assassination of three Palestinians.

They added that Israeli forces demolished a Palestinian water tank in the Furush Beit Dajan town, east of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus.

Al-Quds said settlers continue to rampage in the West Bank as the Israeli authorities issued demolition orders against establishments.

It also said that former Palestinian and Israeli negotiators are discussing the creation of a confederacy between Israel and the future Palestinian state.

Al-Hayat al-Jadida said Fatah Central Committee member Jamal Muheisen, who died on Monday, was laid to rest in a funeral attended by President Mahmoud Abbas and other Palestinian officials.

It said in a feature story that E-Commerce in Palestine is a new investment opportunity in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

A total of 7682 people have been confirmed with Covid-19 in Palestine in the last 24 hours and 15 deaths, according to the papers.

Al-Ayyam quoted the Minister of Interior Ziad Hab al-Reeh saying that the security forces will take all that is necessary to impose security in the southern West Bank city of Hebron where family feuds have disrupted normal life in the city.
