UK Delegation Explores Maritime Security Centre’s Capabilities

Muscat:A parliamentary delegation from the United Kingdom, led by Emily Thornberry, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the British House of Commons and Labour Member of Parliament, visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) today.

According to Oman News Agency, upon their arrival, the delegation was welcomed by Commodore Abdullah Ali Al Hajri, Head of the Maritime Security Centre.

The delegation received a briefing on the centre's roles, tasks, and responsibilities, focusing on its efforts to maintain maritime safety and protect territorial waters. This briefing highlighted the centre's commitment to enhancing maritime security and safety systems.

During their visit, the delegation toured the centre, inspecting its facilities, equipment, and advanced technologies. This tour showcased the centre's readiness and efficiency in fulfilling its responsibilities.
