Oman: Oman Football Team are pressing on with their short domestic training camp in Muscat, which runs until 23 April 2026 under the charge of Moroccan coach Tarik Sektioui as part of preparations for upcoming international fixtures.
According to Oman News Agency, the camp features 28 players from local clubs, with several professionals playing abroad absent alongside others involved in Asian club competitions. That has allowed the coaching staff to test new faces and widen the selection pool.
The squad includes a number of debutants called up for the first time, as well as several returning players, as the technical staff assess fitness and technical readiness ahead of future matches.
The coaching staff are focusing on raising fitness levels, sharpening tactical work and giving playing time to as many players as possible, with a view to selecting the most suitable squad for the next phase - particularly with friendlies scheduled during the FIFA window in early June.
Sektioui and his staff have stepped up their on-ground monitoring of the Jindal League in recent weeks, a clear sign of their commitment to close player assessment and selecting the most prepared candidates to represent Oman in the coming period.
