UPDATE: Israeli army detains nine Palestinians during West Bank raids

RAMALLAH, Israeli forces overnight Thursday and early Friday detained nine Palestinians, including three teenagers, from across the West Bank, according to sources.

Forces detained three teenagers; one aged 16 and two aged 17, during a military raid overnight Thursday into the village of Ma’in to the south of Hebron, during which forces attacked residents’ homes with a barrage of tear gas canisters, causing panic and fear among residents. No injuries were reported.

The three teenagers were detained after soldiers raided and searched their family homes in the said village.

Four Palestinian youth were also detained in the village of Um Safa to the northwest of Ramallah.

An Israeli army foot patrol stormed the aforementioned village during the predawn hours, raided several homes after breaking down their doors, and detained four Palestinians, including two freed prisoners.

A 22-year-old youth was also detained after Israeli forces raided and searched his family home in the town of Al-Ubeidiya to the east of Bethlehem.

Forces also raided a house in the village of Silat al-Harithiya to the west of Jenin, searching it and interrogating the occupants, however, no arrests were made.

The army also detained two youth at Diwan a-Rajabi (160) military checkpoint near al-Ibrahimi mosque in the Old City of Hebron.
