UPDATE: Israeli forces attack rallies protesting settlers’ flag march

BETHLEHEM, Israeli army forces attacked today peaceful demonstrations held in protest of Israel’s flag march which marks Israel’s capture and subsequent occupation of East Jerusalem in 1967 Six-Day War.

Forces attacked a rally held in Bethlehem city with rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas canisters, causing many, including three journalists, to suffocate due to tear gas inhalation.

Similar clashes were witnessed at the entrance to Hebron’s al-Aroub refugee camp as Israeli forces attacked Palestinians protesting the flag march in Jerusalem, causing many to suffocate after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli forces toward protesters and residents’ homes.

Palestinian national and Islamic factions called for a day of rage protests across the occupied Palestinian terriotiers in protest of Israel’s flag march,

Israeli police have blocked access to Jerusalem’s Bab al-Amoud (Damascus Gate), pushed Palestinians away from the area, and intensified their presence ahead of the flag march that will see thousands of far-tight settlers roam the occupied city of Jerusalem, passing through the Old City of Jerusalem’s Muslim Quarter. The march was widely rejected and condemned as provocative.
