Weather: Another rise in temperature, low pressure is expected tomorrow

RAMALLAH, Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy, warm and windy, with another rise of temperature, which becomes 5°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is partly cloudy and cold, particularly in the mountains. Light to moderate easterly to southeasterly wind blows in daytime. Sea waves are low.

From midday, sporadic rain showers along with occasional thunderstorms are expected, starting in the north and gradually spreading to the center.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 12°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 19°C and a low of 11°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 16°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 15°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A low pressure and a cold front are set to affect the region on Thursday and Friday, causing temperature to plummet to 5°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Sporadic rain showers along with occasional thunderstorms are expected.

Saturday’s weather is expected to be partially cloudy to cloudy and mild, with a rise in temperature, becoming around its annual average.

PMD warned citizens against flood formation, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility.
