Weather: Cold, stormy weather, scattered rain

Weather today in Palestine is stormy, cold and partially cloudy with the possibility of scattered rain over some areas, and with a slight rise in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are southwesterly to northwesterly, active to strong at times, and sea waves are medium to high.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 5°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 11°C and a low of 4°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 11°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 17°C and a low of 11°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A low-pressure front is expected to affect Palestine on Monday causing the temperature to drop and paving the way to very cold and stormy conditions, heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, and gusty winds reaching 80 km/h.

The low-pressure front, rain, thunderstorms, occasionally hail, and high winds reaching 80 km/h are expected to continue on Tuesday.

Country remains under the effect of the low-pressure front on Wednesday, with rain, thunderstorms, extremally cold conditions and gusty winds expected across the country.

The PMD warned against the formation of floods in low areas and valleys, high winds, slippery roads, and low horizontal visibility.
