Weather forecast: Relief in the heat stress expected

Weather today is mainly clear and relatively hot in daytime and mild to slightly cold in the morning and night hours, particularly in the mountains, with a drop in temperature, which becomes seasonal, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows in daytime, and moderate to occasionally active southwesterly to northwesterly wind blows in nighttime. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 27°C and a low of 19°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 26°C and a low of 18°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 37°C and a low of 25°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 21°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 3°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to mainly clear, dry and hot conditions in the mountains and very hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Moderate to slightly cold conditions are expected in the morning and night hours.

The same weather conditions are expected for Sunday.

Monday’s temperature is set to drop and become seasonal, paving the way to mainly clear and relatively hot conditions. Mild conditions are expected in the morning and night hours, particularly in the mountains.

PMD warns people against exposure to the sun for long periods, particularly from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
