Weather forecast: Unseasonably high temperature expected

RAMALLAH, Weather today is partly cloudy to clear and mild to relatively warm in daytime with a rise of temperature, which becomes slightly unseasonably high, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather tonight is partly cloudy and cold, particularly in the mountains. Light to moderate westerly to northwesterly wind blows in daytime, and northwesterly to southwesterly wind blows in the night. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 14°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 14°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Tuesday’s temperature is set to further rise to 3°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to partly cloudy to cloudy and warm conditions.

Wednesday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 5°C above the seasonal average, with partly cloudy to cloudy and warm conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in nighttime. From midday, sporadic rain showers along with occasional thunderstorms are expected, starting in the north and gradually spreading to the center.

A low pressure and a cold front are set to affect the region on Thursday, causing temperature to plummet to 5°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to cloudy and cold to very cold conditions. Sporadic rain showers along with occasional thunderstorms are expected.
