Weather forecast: Unseasonably hot and dry conditions to prevail

Weather today is clear, dry and relatively hot to hot in daytime and warm in the night with a slight rise of temperature, which approaches 4°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Light to moderate northwesterly wind blows. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 31°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 27°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A significant drop of temperature is expected on Saturday, becoming seasonal and paving the way to partly cloudy to clear and relatively hot conditions in daytime and mild conditions in the night.

The same weather conditions are expected for Sunday.

Monday’s temperature is set to rise and approach 2°C above the seasonal average, paving the way to relatively hot to hot and dry conditions in daytime and mild conditions in the night.

PMD warns people against being exposed to the sun for long period, especially from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and setting fire to dry grassy areas.
