Weather: Moderate conditions at mountains, hot in other areas

RAMALLAH, Weather today in Palestine is partly cloudy, dry and moderate in mountains and hot in valleys and plains, with a slight drop in temperature that yet remains 3°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are northwesterly and light to moderate, while sea waves are low.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 24°C and a low of 15°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 23°C and a low of 14°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 31°C and a low of 18°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 25°C and a low of 18°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Temperature is expected to rise again on Monday and becomes 7°C above the seasonal average, and again on Tuesday to become 9°C above the seasonal average, said the PMD. Therefore, hot conditions are likely to prevail on both days.

Extremely hot conditions are expected for Wednesday in most areas as temperature rises further to approach 11°C above the annual average.
