Musandam Municipal Council Reviews Key Development Proposals

Musandam: The Municipal Council of Musandam Governorate today held its 6th meeting in 2026. The meeting was chaired by Sayyid Faisal bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Municipal Council of Musandam Governorate.

According to Oman News Agency, the Municipal Council discussed a proposal to develop the old market in Khasab, known as Al Hala market, and addressed concerns regarding animal feed prices in the governorate. The council also exchanged views on three significant projects aimed at enhancing the region's infrastructure. These projects include developing the Wilayat of Bukha to enhance its status as an urban center, improving the Al Mazari Area in the Wilayat of Mad'ha, and dualizing the "Quroon Assayd-Khub Al Shamsi" carriageway in the Wilayat of Daba.

The meeting also addressed traffic congestion issues in the Wilayat of Khasab, particularly those caused by trucks. Additionally, there was a focus on enhancing tourist facilities, evidenced by a request to repair sun sheds on Qadi Beach.

At the conclusion of its meeting, the Municipal Council emphasized the importance of addressing public issues and responding to recommendations that support sustainable development efforts and meet the aspirations of the citizens.
