Hotel rooms' occupancy in North A'Sharqiyah Governorate ranged between 60 and 90 percent during last year's tourism season that lasted from October 2023 to March 2024. The governorate is served by 47 tourist facilities that comprise 1,044 hotel rooms distributed across its different wilayats Mohammed Saif Al Riyami, Head of Tourism Development Section at the Department of Heritage and Tourism in North A'Sharqiyah Governorate, said that the governorate is now bracing for the winter tourism season set to attract visitors from the Sultanate of Oman abroad. Giving a breakup, Al Riyami explained that the governorate has 10 hotels, 10 tourist camps, 9 guest houses, 12 green lodges (environment-friendly hotels, motels, inns and resorts), two rest houses and 4 hotel apartment buildings.
