Duqm: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology and the National Space Services Company (NASCOM) have postponed the launch of the experimental scientific rocket 'Duqm-1' due to unfavorable weather conditions. According to Oman News Agency, the ministry and the company explained in a joint statement that the rocket will be launched when weather conditions improve. The process of launching experimental scientific rockets requires precise calculations of weather conditions, including windspeed and its suitability for the size and velocity of the rocket during the launch operation. The statement affirmed that there would be no direct media coverage of the launch of the Duqm-1 rocket, as it is the first experimental launch. The statement advised members of the public to undertake precautionary measures during the target time, urging all fishermen and seafarers to avoid sailing or being in the area of the rocket launch.
