Istanbul: Represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the Sultanate of Oman is taking part in the 11th edition of the Istanbul International Arab Book Fair, which runs from 15 to 23 August. Oman's participation in the event reflects its commitment to enhancing Arab cultural presence and showcasing the features of the Omani cultural identity to a diverse audience of intellectuals, researchers, publishers, and visitors from numerous countries worldwide. According to Oman News Agency, through its pavilion, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth highlights a range of publications, programmes, and cultural initiatives that reflect the depth of the Omani cultural scene. These efforts support the preservation of cultural heritage and aim to introduce it to new generations. This year's exhibition adopts the slogan 'The Story Continues', emphasizing the continuity of Arab cultural resourcefulness and the significance of books as a source of knowledge and human interaction. The book fair features pub lications from over 30 countries and more than 300 publishing houses, as well as cultural programmes covering various literary spheres.
