Oman’s Participation in Riyadh Social Responsibility Forum Highlights Global Collaboration

Riyadh:The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the second edition of the International Social Responsibility Forum, hosted by Saudi Arabia in Riyadh. This two-day event, themed "From Commitment to Impact," commenced today, focusing on enhancing social responsibility practices globally.

According to Oman News Agency, Oman's delegation is led by Dr. Laila bint Ahmed Al Najjar, the Minister of Social Development. The forum aims to showcase international experiences, discuss challenges, and explore ways to enhance the developmental impact of social responsibility, while also emphasizing the importance of sustainability and partnerships across various sectors.

The forum sessions highlight the critical role of social responsibility in education and development, promoting cross-sector partnerships, and leveraging digital transformation and artificial intelligence to benefit global communities. Dr. Laila participated in a ministerial session, emphasizing the evolution of social responsibility in Oman, driven by increased public and private sector involvement.

Dr. Laila also stressed the importance of integrating sectoral efforts, aligning initiatives with national priorities, and institutionalizing social responsibility to ensure the sustainability of initiatives. She advocated for encouraging companies to adopt sustainable practices that align with national development goals.

On the sidelines, Dr. Laila met with Mahinur Özdemir Göktas, Turkey's Minister of Family and Social Services, to discuss joint cooperation in development and family affairs, and the exchange of expertise between the two nations.
