At least three Palestinians sustained injuries today as Israeli occupation forces suppressed an anti-occupation protest in the town of Beit Ummar, in the West Bank province of Hebron, while dozens of Palestinian protesters suffocated from Israeli teargas during a similar protest in the village of Beit Dajan, near Nablus.

Mohammad Awad, a Palestinian activist based in Beit Ummar, told WAFA that confrontations erupted between Palestinian protesters and Israeli occupation soldiers shortly after the soldiers shut down the main entrance to the town.

He said the soldiers fired rubber-coated rounds and teargas at the protesters, injuring three teenagers in the lower limbs and causing many cases of suffocation gas inhalation. The wounded were treated at the scene of the protest.

Following the protest, the Israeli occupation forces arrested two Palestinian brothers, Muhannad, 23, and Majdi Awad, 18, after raiding their home in the town.

Meantime, Israeli occupation soldiers dispersed an anti-occupation protest in the village of Beit Dajan, in the West Bank province of Nablus, injuring a Palestinian by a teargas canister in his head and causing many cases of suffocation from teargas.

Confrontations between Palestinians and Israeli occupation forces also erupted in the neighboring town of Beita.
