HEBRON, Israeli occupation forces demolished today a number of structures in al-Taybeh area in the town of Tarqomiya to the west of Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Mayor of Tarqomiya, Abdel- Moneim Fatafta, told WAFA that Israeli forces demolished two agricultural sheds and a birdhouse belonging to one of the local residents in the town.

Israel’s ongoing demolitions in the town during the past years aim at forcing the residents to leave the area for the benefit of settlement expansion, he said.

The mayor appealed to all national, human rights, and international institutions to promptly intervene to put an end to these ‘barbaric’ practices of the occupation and its settlers.
