Israeli settlers assault Palestinians in Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah

JERUSALEM, Extremist Israeli settlers assaulted Palestinian residents this evening and tore down the Palestinian flag in the neighborhood of Sheikh Jarrah in occupied Jerusalem, according to local sources.

Witnesses told WAFA that a group of Israeli settlers broke into the neighborhood and verbally assaulted the local Palestinian residents, shouted profanities at them and tore down the Palestinian flag.

Meanwhile in the occupied West Bank, Israeli settlers attacked a Palestinian driver and hurled his vehicles with stones at the entrance to the village of Duma, southeast of Nablus, shattering the windshield of the vehicle. The driver himself was not injured, and was able to fast drive out of the area.

Attacks by Israeli settlers and army were also reported today in other areas of the West Bank, including in Hebron province where settlers attacked Palestinian farmers picking olives near the town of Dura.
