MSX 30 Index Sees Slight Increase Amidst Higher Trading Volume

Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange "30" index ended today's trading session at 8,233 points, reflecting a modest gain of 2.1 points, or 0.03 percent, from its previous close of 8,230.86 points.

According to Oman News Agency, the trading value experienced a notable rise, reaching RO 66,800,546, which marks an 8.5 percent increase compared to the prior session's trading value of RO 61,568,377. Despite the uptick in trading activity, the market capitalization saw a slight decline of 0.043 percent, settling at approximately RO 38.15 billion. This change was highlighted in the official report released by the MSX.

Non-Omani investors engaged in purchasing activities totaling RO 4,065,000, which accounted for 6.08 percent of the overall trading. On the other hand, their sales amounted to RO 6,161,000, representing 9.22 percent of total transactions. Consequently, net non-Omani investment observed a decrease of RO 2,096,000, or 3.14 percent.
