‘Nation’s Readiness 2025’ Exercise Begins in Muscat

Muscat: The national exercise 'Nation's Readiness 2025' commenced today in the Governorate of Muscat. Organized by the National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) in cooperation with relevant authorities, the exercise will span two days.

According to Oman News Agency, Colonel Zayed bin Hamad Al Junaibi, Head of the National Emergency Management Center, stated that the exercise aims to enhance the efficiency of response teams, improve coordination among entities involved in emergency management, and implement effective measures to protect lives and public property at a national level.

Colonel Zayed further explained that the exercise includes simulations of various emergency scenarios, such as managing responses to extreme weather events and coordinating safety maneuvers. It also aims to validate approved national plans and measure the speed of response and decision-making under different conditions.

The exercise involves various sectors of the NCEM and the Subcommittee for Emergency Management in Muscat Governorate, supported by military and security forces and other relevant stakeholders.

Colonel Zayed highlighted that the exercise is part of ongoing national efforts to strengthen the emergency management system and align with international best practices. These efforts are crucial to ensuring the safety and protection of the community and infrastructure in the Sultanate of Oman.
