Muscat: The State Council today engaged in discussions concerning three pivotal draft laws: the 'Draft National Geospatial Data and Information Law,' the 'Draft Unified Industrial Regulation Law for the GCC States,' and the 'Draft Amendment to the Unified Customs Law for the GCC States.'
According to Oman News Agency, the session also featured a review of a study by the Education and Research Committee. The study, titled 'Enhancing the Quality of Educational Attainment and Mastery of Competencies and Skills in School Education in the Sultanate of Oman: An Analytical and Legislative Study,' aims to examine and improve educational standards in Oman.
These deliberations occurred during the fourth session of the third regular sitting of the eighth term, under the leadership of Sheikh Abdulmalik bin Abdullah Al Khalili, the Chairman of the State Council.
In his opening remarks, the Chairman emphasized the specific nature of the draft laws, highlighting their connection to a shared legislative framework among GCC member states. He called on the permanent and special committees to accelerate their studies and proposals to ensure they are prepared for discussion in forthcoming sessions.
