RAMALLAH, An Israeli plan to evict 15 Palestinian families of the Arab al-Kaabnah Bedouin community, northwest of Jerusalem, from their homes was highlighted on the front page of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies published today.
Al-Ayyam made this topic its main front-page story and added to it that Israel is also going to demolish 14 structures in the Jordan Valley and has also issued stop work orders for others.
Al-Quds daily said the demolition orders will also touch Masafer Yatta in the South Hebron Hills.
It also reported on a new Israeli settlement plan in the south of the West Bank, specifically near al-Walaja village, that will affect the historic stone terraces in the village of Battir, an area on the UNESCO world heritage list.
The third daily, al-Hayat al-Jadida, highlighted the popular activities demanding that Israel should release the cancer-stricken prisoner Nasser Abu Hmeid, who is fighting for his life.
Al-Quds said Abu Hmeid rejected a suggestion that he appeals for a pardon from the Israeli president.

It said that on the 29th anniversary of the signing of the Oslo Accords, Palestinian factions are demanding the cancellation of the accords.
Al-Ayyam said the parents of the Palestinian freedom fighter incarcerated in Israel, Abdallah Barghouti, 50, were allowed for the first time in 20 years to visit their son in his prison cell.
It quoted the spokesman of the US State Department Ned Price saying that discussion is continuing with Israel to hold accountable those responsible for the killing of Palestinian-American Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh.
